Oh Liz I'm so sorry you're going through this.
When I was in college a drunk driver hit my parked car. They gave me a report but they told me they couldn't press charges because there was no one in the car when they found it and him. He was sleeping in someones front yard. The car was running in the middle of the street with the driver side door open. Then they told me they had his insurance info for me, well when I went to get it they said they didn't have and the car wasn't registered. We concluded that you can get away with a hit and run (at least on a car) if your car isn't registered and you are passes drunk in a neighbors yard in the state of PA. Oh and there were witnesses.

Shirley/Jelly - Yay, on the sidekick! How great that you and DD can share scrapbooking. Tomorrow night we're taking my DGS for the night. On Saturday, we're taking him sb shopping, for his own pp and stickers. He has helped me in the past and loves it! He's 6! Thank you for asking about Colleen and Emma. The first night home was rough! Emma didn't want to sleep....only eat! They had a very good night last night.........How great that you had quiet time to scrap!

Shiley/JB - Did you make the mam and US appts? I have an US next week and a Mam next month! I am so happy that you don't need surgery on the thumb. I hope the insurance allows an MRI. X-rays is a wasted expense! I know it's not funny but, I had to laugh when you said that you reached for something in the car and ended up changing the radio station! That is sooooo cool getting to see the space station fly over!!!!

Liz/Moxie - OH NO!!!!! He has been stripped of his rights! Being seen in the parking lot??? Please, don't worry about the CD. Take care of what you need to first!!

Elizabeth - Are you going to the crop that the ladies here, at sb.com put together. That is awesome. I couldn't believe that with all of your hard work, that they slept through the appt. It's their wedding! As Liz, said, you are ahead of the game.

I am about to go chew Best Buy a new one. I got my computer back ONE WEEK AGO and now the AC adaptor stopped working. It keeps going from AC power to battery and I have next to NO battery LEFT. I am FURIOUS.

I was too tired last night to get on here. Then this morning I was really wanted to clean house. Since this is such a rare feeling, I went with it. Floors scrub, things dusted and vacuumed. Even the utility room got a good cleaning out, well, the side that really needed it.

Then had lunch with dh, mistake 1. Talked with dh, mistake 2. Had roaring headache so went to bed. Then the power went out. I wonder if there's some sort of barometric thingie going on.

I decided I would scrap in semi darkness. Half way through a page power comes back on. So hey!!!

I've got lots to catch up on here. Over 150 posts!

Mine won't be all wonderful memories. But there are so few people who know all facets of me. This is my way of letting them know. (Probably not until I'm dead, though, to be honest.)

ED UPDATE: He called today, asking DD if she could bring his clothes to him. They talked. He apologized a lot for his blow-up at her last week. She made sure he knows wifey is invited to DGS' bday party when we have it. (He was surprised at that.) DD said of course she's invited - she's his wife and he's DGS' dad. He's wondering when he might be able to come over to visit. DD's first suggestion wouldn't work for him, so they'll have to "figure it out later." At least he finally called. Now if he can just LISTEN instead of jumping to conclusions about stuff.... *sigh*

Liz/Foltzy: I'm so sorry your MIL is such a piece of work. Of course, now BIL is a month behind in all of his classes.... *sigh* At least he's where he should be. Finally.

Okay, before I go chew BB out, I have good news!!!

I called the court to see about transportation. My van's not exactly in the best of shape to be going all the way downtown, especially around all that construction. We can take the bus, but it would involve dragging Jory out of bed at 5am.

Get this. She told me [Jory's abuser] is going to admit and WE AREN'T NEEDED!!!! JORY DOESN'T HAVE TO TESTIFY!!!!! That is the BEST news I've heard all day!!!!! I'm so happy I could cry!!!! (I know, typical girl, eh?) She then gave me a number to call in case we're needed to appear for the penalty phase (or we just want to) for transportation.

That's great news. But a word of warning, if insurance companies tell you to show up at a hearing for the other driver (when they're the ones charged) just in case that driver tries some stupid move to be on hand so the judge can ask you questions... I really don't trust our court systems.

Glad there's nothing medically wrong. Let her know that she endangered all of you in that house by not letting you know of the shocking. That means there's an electrical wiring problem. Electrical wiring problems are the leading causes of houses burning down. And as her mother, you are to told of anything that hurts her or could hurt her no matter how slight it may seem at the time.

When cooking ground turkey to add to spaghetti sauce, the entire process works a lot better if one turns on the burner under the skillet rather than let nature take its course.

We don't have a credit card at all. Only debit cards to our checking accounts. And there's a crazy overdraft protection on that account too.

All our bills but a couple are electronically drafted every month. Make life easier but does require us checking stuff once in awhile to make sure things are still ... kosher.

I probably have to take an antihistamine tonight, which will put me out. I was in alot of dust cleaning this morning. I don't want to be sick by Monday which I will be if I don't take an allergy med.

Oh, the dinner went really well. Dessert was a big hit. Those that had the hash earlier this week was really surprised by it. And the broccoli cheese rice was a big hit, too.

I'm thinking of Frogmore Stew for next week. I'll be spending $100, double what I've been spending a week. I'm really excited since this will be the first Red Week Meal.

What is Frogmore stew?

Frogmore is the name of a town near the coast. Some people call this stew Beaufort Stew or Low Country Stew but I just love saying "Frogmore Stew."

Basically boiled red potatoes, corn on the cob, spicy sausages or kielbasa, and shrimp. With Ole Bay seasoning or something similar. The whole pot is supposed to dumped out onto a picnic table (outside) that's covered in clean newspaper. But we'll be serving directly from the pots. I'll have to fix a small portion sans shellfish.

I've also seen these with crawfish, crabs, crablegs, mussels, clams and/or oysters.

Very easy to make and you can feed alot of people easily. No prepeeling the shrimp.
