I knew that the house needed the roof fixed in places and reshingled and I couldn't afford that so I gave up on my efforts to try to save it. By the grace of God I was able to sell my house before I got the foreclosure notice. I even made money on the house, but during the inspection found out that the roof issues were weather related and covered by my insurance so my buyer got a new roof courtesy of my insurance company. I also found out that the $8000 lien from a debt I couldn't repay was now $20,000 because of interest so I didn't make as much money as I was expecting. But at least I didn't have to go through foreclosure. Not that that has saved my credit either.

So I found out something interesting tonight. I went to my local J's and was looking for the Citrus DCWV stack and the only ones they had had been opened and some were missing a few pages. I asked if they had more and the lady said no. I asked if they would discount them. They gave them to me for 75% off. I asked if that went for any of the other ones that were opened and she said yes. So I was kinda bad!!!

Just make sure if you do the new thread, that you absolutely know how, and if you can't figure even part of it out, ask someone who knows.
(If anyone, who has the VCW code, can get the prayer request and Yahoo group links back, it would be appreciated. I don't have either link, unfortunately.)

AND WOULD YALL PLEASE USE THE UPDATE BLOG MORE!!
There was not a single post in it last week. And I am talking to myself about that too! I am bad about remembering. But it really helps those who can't get here every single day.

Oh heck no, if I knew the situation was going on, I would call someone and report that myself. Hitting someone (unless spanking in certain situations) is NEVER a good response, especially a child hitting their parent.

Oh goodness, is he getting insulin injections yet? They will have to learn all about that. Life as they know it has changed forever. Make sure they take the diabetes totally seriously. My former coworker had it since age 7 and she has never taken it seriously, neither her mother. She almost lost her toes due to a bad infection because her diabetes has been out of control so much during her life that it's now affecting the blood flow in her legs and feet. And she is only in her 30's.

I was so good at J's the other day with my mom! I saw all the DCWV PP on sale. I was literally whining!!
Then I decided to take two 8x8 pads. $12 total.

Fortunately I don't think Zach would ever hit me. I don't think. In fact, I heard him tell someone the other day that his mom could kick his arse! And he knows that if he ever hit me, it would pretty much be the last thing he ever did.

(he also has watched me for years have to "take down" his much older, much bigger, autistic brother, during meltdowns, into a baskethold, to keep him from hurting himself or someone else)

Does the Robo software make shadowing letters easy? I'm really into doing shadows especially in my titles. I love the Cricut for it but WB won't do bolding and cutting which would make for perfect shadows.

The new 5.1 software has an offset shape button that I love, I use it to make mats. The only thing that I don't like at the moment is that it only does an outline weld so some parts of letters disappear.

I haven't been scrappin today. I did go to my LSS and M's to look around. I think I am so going switch my room over to the Jet Max Cubes. I am in love with them. I am going to cook dinner now but maybe later I can do some work in here. My new paper stash is begging to be used. Hope everyone had a great day.

Just watched Man VS Food with my dad. I think Adam is so adorable.
He did this food challenge called "The Four Horsemen." In San Antonio, there is a restaurant that uses the hottest chilies in the world on their burgers. Even hotter than Habeneros!
He ate the entire burger without milk and had to sit there for five minutes afterwards, too.
He looked like he was in pain!
But he actually did it!

Hi ladies! Just stoppin in, gotta get running soon. Have to grocery shop, pick up a desk from my Grammer (she found me a desk for my scrap room at the Good Will, it was only $5!), then head over to the house to do some work. I was bad and went to M's yesterday because I had a 50% off coupon that I wanted to use on a border punch. I haven't scrapped anything though, so I'm still good on the no shop challenge. I do need to catch up on love though, been too busy lately!! Anywho, will post more later. See ya!

Oof, those liens'll get you in the end. At least you were able to sell your house. Mom's is really old (1825) and one of the living room walls is slowly caving in. I don't know if it's really structurally sound enough to sell. She'd never get what it's mortgaged for at any rate. She somehow managed to refinance and refinance and refinance and now the house she bought for $98,000 is mortgaged for $250,000 (waaaay more than what it's worth).

Took a super long nap last night, so no srappin yesterday. Today, got up early, dh and I went to ride bikes, and did 8 miles. My b*tt hurts!!!

Now to finish some loads, take kids to the pool, and maybe scrap some later.

Phew, I've had a busy busy weekend. Actually, a busy busy couple weeks, I'm soooo behind on gallery love. Anywho, on to what I've been up to. Yesterday I got up at 8 and went to Grammer's to go through some things I have stored over there. After that I picked up my brother and sister who were coming to help me paint. On the way to the apartment, I stopped at Michael's and got the border punch and a couple boxes they had on clearance. When I got to the apartment, we turned around and left again with my husband to go to the house to measure the back door that needs replaced, then to Lowes to buy supplies and a door. Got to Lowes, bought the paint, tried to buy the door but were told we didn't measure the right part. We forgot to measure the frame so that we could get a door in a frame (the one at our house was installed so badly that everything on it was crooked so we were just pulling it out and starting over). Went back to the house and helped my sister and brother with the painters tape while my husband remeasured the door. Left sister and brother at the house, went back to Lowes with dh, and picked out a door. Dh decided he wanted me to drive his truck, while he sat in the bed with the door to make sure it didn't move. This was pretty nerve wracking because I've never driven his truck, and I'm pretty sure him sitting back there was very illegal. Got back to the house, carried the door in. Mom showed up, she started helping my sisters and brother paint. Sister-in-law, her husband, and my nephew show up, they go downstairs to help dh. My other sister showed up, we went upstairs to watch the painting (I ran out of brushes and rollers, so we couldn't help). dh came upstairs to tell me that I had to go to the apartment to pick up the raid, found a nest of ants when they took out the old door, and then I had to go to Home Depot for screws to install the door. The sister who wasn't painting and I went to the apartment, stopped by the grocery store to get water, then went and got the screws from Home Depot. Got back to find that the door wouldn't fit in the door hole. Found out that it was due to the fire proofing and a 2x4 that was sticking out too low. Cut out some of the fire-proofing, called around till we found a friend with a sawzall, waited around until 10:00 PM for the friend with the sawzall. Finally got the door in at around 11 PM. Still need to shim it and finish screwing it in, but it's lockable and there so that's all that matters.


Today, we picked up my desk at Grammers then painted the spare bedroom. Easy Peasy compared to yesterday!

I'm beat, but may try to scrap later. I really want to use my border punch, and I got two lo's due soon for a challenge.

Wow Desi, just reading about it and I'm tired. So cool that so many people showed up. So wish my family was closer. Glad the door issue was resolved and the it is over.
