When was the last time you staged a photo shoot just to match a layout idea you had?

Okay, doe-kay! I guess I can answer that one...The last time I kinda set up a photo shoot, was when I took pics of my 3 year old drawing. (I asked her to draw- which wasn't too much of a hardship for her, since she's drawing all the time anyway.) I needed some pictures to go with the artwork I wanted to add to her scrapbook.

Okay, my question...what's the most that you spent at a single visit to your lss or at a convention? (or is that too depressing a question?!)

OK, I'll go.......my answer is not too depressing....the most I have spent iin one visit is $75.....not too bad.

Here is my question....

What is the longest you have scrapped in one session....uninterrupted scrapping, I mean.

The only time housework comes before scrapping is in the dictionary!

The longest I have scrapped uninterrupted was about 8 hours. (I haven't been to an all-night crop yet!)

My question, have you ever did a layout just because you saw a mag. needed layouts like that? (And have you been published?) (I hope it's ok to ask this!)

Well, I've never been published, and I've never really done a layout to send to a mag, but I confess to scraplifting lots of layouts or at least ideas from layouts in the mags. Maybe I should've waited for someone else to answer with a more interesting answer, lol!

My question:

How long do you spend online at SBR (scrapbook-related) sites during an average day?

Ooooh, this is a dangerous question! I probably spend 1-2 hours a day online doing SB related things - more if I'm working on my website. On the weekends, it's probably like 3 hours a day. I usually do the surfing/posting/reading in the morning for about an hour or so, then again in the evening when the kids are in bed.

My question - How many of you actually have **friends** that scrapbook. Not the other way around (like SB friends that you see at crops, etc) but friends you knew "B.S" (Before Scrapbooking) and now SB with you. I only have 1 and she lives to far away to scrap with! WAHHH!

My MIL claims to scrapbook! At least she buys all the stuff to! I have yet to see more than a few pages though. And, she's the one that got me into scrapping in the 1st place. Most of my "regular" friends don't sb, or if they do, it's on a VERY limited basis.

My question: What colors do you use most in your scrapbooks?

This is an easy one, Amy (especially knowing the rut that I'm in! ) I am using lots of beiges, blues and greens these days for some reason (the muted steel blue and sage combo is my current fave!).

What is your LEAST favorite part of scrapbooking?

The clean up!!

What is the most amount of time you have spent on one layout?

I'm a pretty fast scrapper...I think the most time I've spent on a layout recently is 4-5 hours on a zoo layout with lots of little paper-pieced animal faces!

Have you ever used a paper doll in a layout?

One of my most recent layouts is a trip to the firestation and I used the fire fighter paperkin (forrest firefighter?). He's so cute! I put him holding a hose with water (blue vellum) putting out a fire.

Journalling is my weakness. Not necessarily a weakness, but I always put it off "for later" and never get to it. What's the most amount of journalling (in approx. number of words) that you have put on one page. Also, What's your scrapping weakness?

not often...i have a regular modem connection so it's kinda slow waiting for layouts to come up.

When planning a layout the first thing I do is see what color cardstock best coordinates with the pictures.

Question - What is the furthest you have traveled to a LSS or Scrapbook event?

Well, I drove 24hrs. to visit Scrabook Essentials in IN. (Ok, really I went there to visit my parents, not necessarily to go to the LSS) But until the last month, the nearest LSS was 3½ hrs. away. I'd go there about once every 2-3 months. Another one opened now just 1½ hrs away! Yeah! (Not a great paper selection though---still have to go to the one in Lubbock!)

The "lumpiest" thing I have ever put on a layout was embriodery floss. It is not veru lumpy but it is as lumpy as I want to get.

My question: How many years (decades, centuries) will it take for you to get caught up with your albums?

Probably just a year or so to get caught up back to 1993, which is when I got married. Everything prior to 93 is already scrapped, but not all in a/f albums yet. THAT task will take me probably 10 years.

Have you ever dressed your kids up in outfits that match your paper supply?

You mean there's another way of dressing them??!! LOL I do it all the time! What's worse is that I just organized and catagorized all the paper I have so its bound to get worse!!

Next question: DO you find your self wanting more kids just so you can buy more of those cute papers/stickers or use up what you already bought too much of?

NO!!! LOL I have four kids and if that isn't enough to feel justified about buying ANY scrapbook related thing I don't know what is! I mean I have four running books for each of them plus general life books for me, vacation books,....etc!!

Question: I scrap with some brand new ladies who really are interested with everything I am doing and I always seem to be teaching instead of scrapping. Do you scrap with people who are the same scrapbooking "level" you are? Any tips about getting to work on your own stuff instead of theirs?

ummmmmmmmmm...Renee, you're kinda messing up this game! Where's your da*rn question?! Shoud I get the "whoop" alert lady over here?!

I'll skip over you to the previous question, which I only have a boring answer to! NO, I have never used a cartoon from the paper on a layout. If you did, did you use the actual clip- archival misting it?- or did you paperpiece that sucker yourself? Sounds like a cute idea, btw. (unless it was something from Family Circus of something! Kidding! I'm sure there are people who LOVE that cartoon- including my grandmother who used to cut them all out and save them! She would have LOVED scrapbooking. She used to cut all our pictures in weird shapes and make placemats. (Am I now ruining the game with excessive gabbiness?!))

My question: have you ever silhouetted yourself "thin" for a page?

Haven't sil. myself thin yet, but that's a good idea! I have "fixed" my hair though!

Question: What is one new sb technique you would like to learn?

MonoLiquid glue, on my pictures. Completely warped the and therefore, the entire page too!! Ouch!!

Nope. I'm always the one taking the pictures. I'm going to have to break down an do it though. In the years to come My future grandkids will always believe I was born old if I don't! LOL

Have you ever cut someone you didn't like out of a picture before you cropped it?

Yes. Two times - stayed up until 2 o'clock both times and was back at it by eight the next morning. I am way too ld to be able to be finctional without any sleep.

Yep! From a spring break picture...and of course old boyfriends!!! LOL

What was the fist page you ever scrapped?

The first page I ever scrapped was a few pictures of my newborn daughter and my dh napping together (on the couch, etc.) The pictures are at the bottom of the page and there is a big thought bubble with 3 sheep jumping inside the bubble. It's really cute (If I may say so myself) and it's still one of my favorites.

Never stamped, because I spend enough $ on scrapping stuff don't need to add stamps to my spending. I think it looks great and my SIL does it!

Do you like using Vellum?

YES!!!! I love it. I just did several pages where I used it for my titles and journaling boxes. I used it with my printer. Turned out great! I've also used it for punch art flowers, to make my own stickers from clipart, and for matting. Trying dry embossing on it. That looks great too.

Do you spend more time planning a page or actually putting it together?

hmmm, probably pretty even there. Depends on the photos I have and what type of layout I'm contemplating.

Do you type or handwrite your journaling?

I'm pretty even with the journaling. Depends on what I want the page to look like....in my family album, I do lots of handwritten journalling but when I want a more polished look (my wedding album)I use my computer.

How about this question......How often do you already plan your layouts while you are taking photos or prior to an event??

the worst thing i ever bought was the fiskars circle cutter-broke all 3 blades within an hour! the best things are the coluzzles! i love them and use them all the time!!!

Since I got into scrapbooking...i mean seriously got into it I say that when I am taking a picture of something going on I'm constantly thinking of how I will be able to put it into a page. I also think about what other pictures I need of the event to make the page complete.
