What kind of gift wrap? I've always bought mine from the fundraisers. The last 2 years the schools sold food products only, so I had to buy dollar store gift wrap. IMHO, fundraiser food products are not safe. Raw cookie dough is delivered to schools early in the morning, sits in the gym all day as the orders are sorted, then still sits out until parents pick it up and drive it to the buyers. Ick! I'll buy from the dance school fundraiser only because it is delivered at 6pm, and we pick it up right as its delivered. I can have it safely in my own freezer within an hour of it coming out of the freezer truck.

I drove by that gas station today and the orange signs were still covering the price areas and all the pumps were surrounded by yellow crime scene tape. If I can get all my chores done, I'll walk up there and see what's going on.

I did buy a copy of the Atlanta paper and kept the clipping. He didn't use anything I told him, which is usual for me, I always get interviewed and then always get edited out.

Taking a quick lunchbreak. I got a call from John in the middle of grocery shopping. The school called him because the field trip that Abby missed because we were away was rescheduled for today. So I had to drop what I was doing, buy a lunchables because she was going to buy lunch today, and run across town ASAP to drop off lunch and give permission for her to go. I also mentioned that I signed a form specifically saying "CALL MOM ON CELL FIRST!" Yeah. Teacher ignored large print, called home first and then called John who gave her a piece of his mind. No wonder she was stand offish with me when I dropped off the lunch. Instead of being home by 9:30, I just got home a few minutes ago.

My first thought was to pull Abby and home school. That was my over reaction. However, I am seriously considering pulling her out of the looping program next year.

My home phone is for internet use only. I don't even have a landline hooked up to it. It clearly states to call my cell# on all the forms I filled out. When Savannah got sick, they only called my home #, didn't even contact anyone else on her list. so aggravating. Still not sure how they even got my home number.

For some reason, I thought it would be flat folded gift wrap. Shipping on a roll would be pretty high.

It's cute paper. I'll probably break down and order something. I'm just so ticked off right now.
I looked to see what shipping prices were and they didn't list any. How stupid is that?

The part I read said products were shipped to the school. You would then have to ship it to me. That would end up just about doubling the price of the paper, besides being alot of extra work.

according to squirrelloversclub.com, October is National Squirrel appreciation month.

I twisted my foot in Atlanta. All the running around yesterday at the airport aggravated it, so it hurts today. I've got it elevated, and when the mortin kicks in, I'll get up and do some light cleaning and then sit back down on my butt and fold laundry.

The medic that I normally work with was out of work for 7 weeks from injuries he sustained from a motorcycle accident. He dropped his bike while trying to avoid hitting a squirrel.

From now on I think he'll run over the squirrels. I don't think he'll be allowed in the club.

I don't own any of the diecutters, I just like to drool over other people's.

I drool too Suzie! And i keep telling myself not to buy one. No matter how tempted I get! Cause as soon as I get one - they'll come out with something better and I'll feel like I wasted my money!

So I just drool.

Gotta get ready to spend my lunch hour at the school for an IEP meeting. Translated that means "butting heads with school administrators while trying to write education goals for my son and incorporate supports to help the teachers work with him."

Jory gets only two fundraisers, thank goodness. One in the fall, a few weeks after school starts, and one in the spring. Next year I'll have two at the same school with the same fundraisers, as Lizzie starts kindergarten and joins Bubby at his school. Thank goodness Lizzie doesn't have any fundraisers.

This first one Jory had was nothing but wrapping paper, gift tags, candy, desserts, and fancy appetizers. I didn't order anything, I didn't have time to pick anything out!!! I also coordinate my gift wrap with the kids: Jory has one paper, Lizzie has another, and everybody else has yet another. I've done it that way since Jory was small, because he loved to help hand out gifts to himself and Sissy but couldn't yet read. And fot the past three years I've made my own gift tags out of cardstock and stickers.

I got a little mad because they only had ONE WEEK to sell stuff!!! Not even enough time to call my parents, read the catalog over the phone to them, take their order, and have them get a check in the mail to us. Ridiculous!!!! Oh, yes, this first time around the fundraiser money was due at the time the order form was turned in, not in the middle of October like usual.

AND there was picure day the Friday before. I told Jory I didn't have time to select something from the fundraiser, and I'd rather order a larger package of portraits instead. I wanted to take his and Lizzie's 8x10 school pictures and have them matted and double-framed for my parents for Christmas.

Oh, BTW, I'm a little irritated at school fundraisers...can ya tell???

You're only an hour or two ahead of me. I don't even get home from work till 11pm or midnight my time. Don't go to bed until about 2 or 3am, right about the time you're getting up. And I don't go in to work till 5pm my time. So that's all day I have.

I've got another 15 minutes tops, and then I have to go meet Lizzie's bus. We'll have lunch here and then go to Target to get her a new "'weater" (as she calls her sweater). Walmart had some cute pink ones, but didn't have her size. She was heartbroken yesterday after school to find I'd gone to Walmart and didn't come home with a "'weater" for her. I tried, though!!! Don't Momma get credit for trying????

I just got an email from my upline. She deactivated yesterday because she forgot to place her qualifying order on time. Now she's not sure if she's going to reactivate or not. I'm a little sad but not surprised by this. If she really stays deactivated, then I bump up to her upline's line. Which means I would end up more active doing unit stuff again.
