Give a Cheer
These are some of the reports I kept from when my son was 1 and started daycare. Everyday he'd come home with a report of how he pulled hair or pinched a child. I felt terrible for him and all the kids he hurt, knowing this was his way of expressing pain at leaving me. The teachers were so patient with him and worked hard to protect the other kids. It (the reports ) soon stopped, but while we were getting them it wwas a painful experience all round. Glad we're past that! A child bit him at the park the other day, and the mother was so horrified, and I was totally calm - I know that awful feeling too well!
