Journaling: 1 - We rang in the new year, watching FSU beat South Carolina (and the ol’ ball coach) and playing cards with Alice and Everette and then went to Marc and Karen’s that afternoon. 2 - For Christmas, Alice and Everette gave us these yummy Walker Scottish shortbread cookies. I can’t stop eating them! 3 - This is the first time I wrote the new year. Where does the time go? 4 - The girl who never goes shopping went shopping today and did pretty well for herself. The first pair of jeans I tried on fit and were on sale. That’s the way I like to shop. I also found some comfy shoes and some filters for my lenses. 5 - I wish this were a scratch-n-sniff picture. Then you could enjoy the wonderfully fresh scent of my linen closet, containing sheets and towels that have hung on the clothesline and smell SO good. 6 - One of my goals this year is to try a new recipe each week. The one for this week was Dilled Vegetable Barley Soup. It was tasty, and I think we’ll be eating it again. 7 - This is Annice, one of the organizers of our girls’ night out. The “girls” from our Sunday School class got together for dinner at Macaroni Grill. It was fun getting to know them better.
