When he woke up in recovery, he had a bit of a panicky moment, because he had an IV in his hand and it hurt. I had forgotten completely that he would end up with an IV, so I hadn't told him about this part and it scared him a little bit. The nurses said he didn't even cry, he just had tears in his eyes. Once the splinted his hand like this, then it was all better. He got to take the splint home with him.
