Free At Last...
The baby chicks are finally big enough to graduate up into their own pen, after spending the past month in the brooder. They are so excited to be out, to be able to stretch their wings and fly around, to scratch in the dirt, and explore the bigger world.
The little chick in the center of this photograph is a baby banty - and he's a rooster. He's totally fearless, interacting with birds twice his size with total confidence and attitude. I've named him Napoleon - well, actually he named HIMSELF Napoleon, I just figured it out the other day.
