These are the before photos of the Seaman's Trunk that my husband and I worked on for our youngest Grandson Evan. This trunk was manufactured sometime between 1900 and 1930. Was in pretty poor shape when we bought it. It didn't cost too much so it made for a good fixer upper. My husband Al added plywood to the inside to make it structurally sound then put on new handles. He sanded the metal edges slightly and painted the metal black as it was a horrible green. He then put on casters to make it easier to move around. I did the decoupage work on the removable tray, the inside and the outside. The whole process was very time consuming but we are very pleased with the end result. Thanks so much for looking.
