I didn't realize how important these walks to school had become to me until I saw myself documenting them so continually. I started making this page, then stopped and thought, "Wait, ANOTHER page about walking the kids to school?" But look: Genny is skipping, stopping to turn and smile at me. She is asking me to skip with her, and I am. She is posing, fingers splayed, and shouting, "CHEDDAR!" The sky is inexplicably blue, especiallyfor early February. It's just Genny and me, telling stories, laughing. Sometimes the other kids are with us. Sometimes I'm pulling them in the wagon. Buti it's the essence of every day. I don't know what better moments to keep than these. So I will continue to collect them. 7 February 2012.
