great photo and page, and a wonderful, romantic story...my neighbour got engaged on their 3rd date and they were married for 63 years...true soul mates. I love those flowers

Family Ties - 1928

1928: My grandfather and grandmother got engaged after only 2 dates. Here she is meeting his folks and grandmother! Bet it was awkward! My grandmother is wearing the flapper hat and my grandfather is in the pale linen suit. They got married shortly after and were married for SIXTY blissful years...their key phrase throughout was, "I do, I do"...meaning, they'd say it all over again. They literally were the most in love, romantic couple I ever met!

This layout was almost completely scraplifted from the old Treasure Box Kit. A friend subscribed and this tickled my fancy, especially since I had the paper already. The girl who designed those kits and pages really had a talent and I know a bunch of my friends who were very sorry when she discontinued her kit.
