This is my younger daughter - taken a few years ago. She's upside down, I think. That's the wall behind her and the edge of her bed under her, I think.

I had a lot of trouble with this paper line. Nothing wanted to work together. I've been struggling with it since March Scrap Retreat. I finally just gave up, grabbed a sketch from this month's Page Maps ETC, and reworked the entire plan. The herringbone mat is an illusion - it's created from three scrap pieces of the backside of the grey paper.

I still couldn't quite get it like it was in my head, but it's done. Rule #2. Done is better than perfect.
