Give a Cheer
These city slickers don't walk on pavement!!!! We were told, oh, it's just a 15 minute walk up to the top of the Dam. NOT for us! We arrived at the top after almost 30 minutes of walking up hill on rocks and stones; swiping gnats and who knows what away from us; being thankful we had water bottles with us....well, this fluffy scrapper got to the top! I wasn't sure my ole ticker was gonna make it!!!! It did, and then, after checking out the top of the Dam, yep, we had to get back down.
A very nice man suggested a short cut down the mountain. It's "where the kids go sleighing"!!!! We got to the short cut and it was so steep, I knew there was no way this fluffy arse could stay off the ground....I wasn't here to play survivor!!!!!! I just wanted to see grandpa's Dam!!!!! So, we descended following the trail we took earlier. By the time we got down I realized I left the skin from the top of my ole hammer toe, somewhere on the trail!!!! Ouch! But, cool air in the car, some more water and out to dinner made it all betta!
