A Picture of my DD on her first birthday.
We didn't do a formal birthday. Rahter, we had a fun photo shoot.
It wasn't until the following weekend that we had friends over to watch a football game. My DD got to do a smash cake at half time...I figured that was enough for a one year old. Its not like she will remember it any way. Besides whats there to remember? Typically at most first birthday parties I have been to the mother is exhausted from planning, prepping and hosting, the baby is crying because of a missed nap and over stimulation, and way too much money is spent on a cake. I made a box cake for her and since it wasn't her typical green beans and strawberries she didn't want anything to do with it.
