This was a layout I wanted to get done last month for ‘Connecting with Creativity’, but it didn't happen. But I wanted to make sure I still got it done…eventually.:) I wrote a letter to Grayson with the intentions of her not reading it until she's a teenager. I felt like maybe she would be more willing to take advice from a younger version of me….and I also thought I might have a different viewpoint to give to her before I'm actually dealing with a teenager. I figured I'd have a bit more open mind now than I will in 10-15 years.:) I got the idea for the sequined star from a t-shirt in the CrewCuts catalog. I have other ideas for this same type of thing…just need to buy more sequins!!For this star….I cut a star out of cardstock, painted on Mod Podge and started layering sequins on. I'd do a layer, add more Mod Podge, add more sequins…until it looked full enough. For the background…I tore pieces of tissue paper and painted them on to the background with Mod Podge. I sprinkled on glitter for fun.For the letter…Since the front of the layout was pretty full I attached a KI Pocket on the backside. I added a little flag and Clip Art so that it wouldn't be forgotten back there.
