I was a little nervous to stitch on top of my picture (I think the person I lifted this from did it digitally), but I just used a tupperware lid to trace the circle in pencil, then I went around it with a little pushpin (or paper piercer) making the holes so that I wouldn't be pulling so hard on the paper with the needle and thread. Then I went around again with the thread. It wasn't too hard, but if you want to try it, make sure your circle doesn't get too close to the edge of the paper. Mine (got cut off in the scan, there IS a full circle all the way around) got DANGEROUSLY close to pulling right through--off the edge of the paper. Thanks for the comments!

Okay, I am SOOOOO LOVING this picture of my dd. It's my absolute favorite to date. I spent a lot of time on this rather simple layout, cause I wanted it to do the pic justice. It's a lift of Sheri R. from another site.
The chipboard is scenic route, painted and modge-podged--it was my first time using modge-podge adn it's pretty cool (aside from the fact that the first bottle in the cart at the store was dropped by my kids and splattered everywhere, including on my jeans--Ruff).
