Give a Cheer
It's a song almost every mom sings to her kids - and I am proud to admit I'm not the exception…they ARE my sunshine…and they definitely make me happy when skies are gray. When I took this photo of my four kids (one of those rare times when they were all cooperative and happy at the same time), that song kept playing over and over in my mind and I knew it would be the perfect title for a layout. I used my Silhouette to cut out the polaroid-style frame and the text in the bottom portion of it. I knew I wanted yellow (since it was a page about “sunshine”) and I chose teal as a coordinating color. Next, I pulled out my box of tags and embellishments and started gathering everything that matched - color AND theme-wise. By collaging a lot of elements together I was able to create a super unique border, but it all has meaning too…the perfect combination! There's also some hidden journaling tucked into a little envelope on teh side. Sometimes song lyrics are enough, but sometimes you want to add a little bit of personalization as well…and that's what I did on this layout. :)
