This is for Jan's challenge: “Creative Embossed Impressions”. For the background, I took some blue pp (it has some pale white ducks on it) and ran it thru the Cuttlebug with a Cuttlebug brand folder. Then I lightly rubbed some Versamark over the paper and heat embossed it with a pearl EP. I have seen this technique done with the Versamark applied with a brayer, and the EP is only supposed to go on the raised part and it looked really cool. I don't have a brayer, though, so I had to just rub the pad directly onto the paper. I thought that would work ok. It didn't. The EP went into the valleys, too, so that pretty much the whole thing has a heat embossed coating. The other thing I didn't have and so didn't use is an antistatic bag, so that could have helped, too.HOWEVER, I was still really happy with the result! It just gives it a lovely glossiness. For the sentiment and image I used the “Chalkboard Technique”. I heat embossed in white onto dark grey CS and then rubbed white chalk all over it. I coloured the duck with a yellow pencil.
