We all agreed that this little town was so charming, everything about it was storybook quaint. I really loved this cute and very old town! But what I didn't expect – Bill loved it as much as I did!

Although a lot of tourists visit Brasov, it does not have a “touristy” feel to it. I'm sure it will near the castle where Dracula items are said to be for sale everywhere, but here in this charming town 8 miles away – It's unspoiled by tourism. In fact earlier today I really wanted to buy some postcards and couldn't even find a place selling postcards or souvenirs in any of the quaint little shops in Brasov.

Back at the inn we met two guys who were from Paris. They were also going to the castle tomorrow – but they were on a mission – they were here hunting vampires. They looked well-groomed and acted normal but when they started talking…. I don't know how we managed to keep straight faces as they described how there were still vampires living around Transylvania and they were prepared to meet one. That was the purpose of their visit!

Tuesday, May 21st – We met up with Richard and Caitlin at 9:30 and walked to the bus terminal together.

Once we got to the bus station Bill needed to make a stop in the men's room. I couldn't believe it - he had to buy a ticket to the men's room. It was cheap - I think he said it translated to about a dime. The he was given a receipt so he wouldn't have to pay again if her returned to this men's room today.

Journaling in Lower Right

Before long we were walking up the pathway to Castle Bran (pronounced Braun), the castle of Count Dracula fame.

Below is a postcard with a photo of Castle Bran.
