Journaling reads:
One of the attractions we wanted to see in Znojmo was the Znojmo Underground City. We had hoped to do the “Adrenaline Tour” but only the family tour was available. The city is from the 1200's and the tunnels are about 500 years old. They had vents that went into the chimneys of houses so they could live and cook down there. The people used the underground city to hide during wars (Ottomans, Swedes, etc.) and also to hide their valuables. Although some of the tour was silly, the underground city was very interesting and impressive.
