This is my dad's sister - who is now 93 years old*. My mom and I drove out to Amarillo last week to see her one last time. Hospice has been called and they told my cousin, "if there's anyone who wants to see her, now would be the time."

My Aunt Mary Lou is one of the kindest, gentlest, most accepting people I have ever met. She inspires me to be better than I am.

She's my dad's older sister, and I've always adored her. I wish her a peaceful passing from this world to the next, where the angels are waiting with open arms to welcome her. She'll be right at home there. She's truly an angel here, so she's had plenty of practice.

I created this layout for several challenges :

#1. This is my ugly papers layout. The handmade flowers incorporated both of my papers, which you can see here.

Basically, I cut the petals out of the plaid paper and used the little Easter eggs for the centers. They turned out really cute, and went perfectly with this set of papers that I put together ages ago for a "someday project."

#2. Doreena's FOODIE challenge.

#3. Anything Goes - this is my Weekly Challenge project for this week, which was to scrap your oldest living relative. We had the additional task of loading our photo into the Scrap By Color feature here on SB.com and use one of the color schemes it suggested. I was able to pull off the Analogous scheme with this project.

#4. Hoarders Challenge ~ which is so helpful for getting me to use stuff up. I've had these papers forever, seems like! Kay & Co, Quick Quotes, Fab Scraps, and Paper Loft.
