One of my daily routines involves a chicken race. Every evening I turn the first ladies out into the yard where they can free range forage. They don't hang around to visit. For them it's a race straight to the garden beds where the best bugs are. Whoever gets there first .... well, early bird, worm, and all that jazz.

The only thing funnier than seeing a chicken scratching the ground is watching a dozen chickens racing to get somewhere first.
