The big day has finally come. We are headed to Callao (Lima). We passed San Lorenzo Island, a dry desolate island. The island is not open to the public and is a restricted zone controlled by the Peru's Navy. It has some archeological interest and includes artifacts of Incan and pre=Incan origin and used as a cemetery. Charles Darwin explored the island in 1835.
