This book ended up being a lot thicker than I expected. In my defense, it turned into a 30 day road trip! Wanted to get it finished before we take another trip. The Polaroid pictures had a nostalgic 70's feel to them and I was trying to recapture the memories of road trips with my parents back in the day. I stole a couple of scenes from National Lampoon's Vacation movie and recreated them on our trip, just for fun: the waxed paper wrapped sandwiches and canned sodas at a rest stop, and later at my sister's house, using my hand to stir the Kool-aid in the sun tea jar (bad idea, took forever to wash off the pink stain on my hand)!
