This mixed media design took a while because I had the idea to piece together the flowers from 2 different papers.

I used white card stock and a test piece card I had prepared a while back. (I randomly applied different ink colours directly from the ink pads to white card, spritzed it with water and let it dry. Then I covered it all with translucent crackle paste). I die cut 3 flowers from white card and 3 flowers from my test piece card. Then I swapped over all the negative petal pieces. After having cut 2 flowers I remembered my double sided tape sheet! So I stuck the white card and test piece card onto it, die cut the rest of the flowers and had a much easier time putting them back together again and sticking them onto the background. I love the result and how the flowers look! The close-up shows the fine crackle lines and the cool colours.

I used my Visible Image wall stencil to emboss scraps of card for the background. The title is stenciled with black texture paste (Ranger). And there is more stenciling in the background using only translucent crackle paste.

I just love this photo because my Mum had a really great time on that day, she was so relaxed and happy and laughed and smiled a lot. I will frame this design and hang it on my wall.
