We made it to Machu Picchu Pueblo train station and left the train. We walked across Vilcanota River and through the shopping area to the awaiting buses to take us the last 3.7 miles to Machu Picchu. It was sure raining and it gave a chance to use our new raincoats. The village began in the late 1920's during the construction of the railroad. It was completed in 1931 and foreign tourists started arriving to visit the historic ruins of Machu Picchu. We are almost there!!!

Thank you so much for your visit. I appreciate it more than you know.
