I've made this card with a fun mix of elements. Many from Whimsy Stamps. The witch silhouette was released by Whimsy Stamps back in 2023 and remains one of my absolute favourite witch images. I've used it several times over the years, but this card may just be one of my favourites with this beautiful image. I had the song 'Whole of the Moon' by the Waterboys running through my head when I was creating this and there were lots of happy synchronicities in the creative process. I started with this cool ink blended panel, which was just a crafty play time to see how the Pitch Black alcohol ink from Ranger would behave. I adore how this turned out with it's weird petrie dish vibe! It just had a grungy magical feel to it, so I was waiting to pair it with the 'right' elements. Enter a
'waste' piece of cardstock that I was testing embossing powders on and the Drippy Halloween found a home. I fussy cut this and mounted it on tiny foam rounds. I diecut the witch from black cardstock called Blacktop from Cardstock Warehouse, then did a highlight layer in Stardream Quartz. This has a lovely pearlescent finish to it and when I diecut the witch, the accessory pieces were also cut and as soon as I saw that little crescent moon, my card idea was complete! I didn't want to cover up any more of the gorgeous background, so I didn't add her familiars, but there are three in the set. I matted the panel onto a beautiful Amethyst Cardstock also from Cardstock Warehouse and then added it to the stunning top folding cardbase from P13. This card base is substantial and feels such a divine quality. The size is not a standard US A2, because this company is Polish, so their sizes align with the EU standards. But I measured it and the card base is 6 3/8 long by 4 1/2 wide. So a little larger than A2 but not by much. The joy is that this set includes the matching envelopes, so great not having to try to make an envelope that fits this non-standard size for the US. The envelopes are 6 3/4 long by 4 7/8 wide. The colour is a lovely soft ivory colour. I'm really taken with them and will definitely be buying these again. The green envelope in the first pic was just to bring out the colours in the inky background. That is a Concord and 9th Envelope in I believe their Grasshopper colour.
