I created this card in celebration of a low-key second wedding. I adore the beautiful Magnolia Coverplate Die from Whimsy Stamps and also the beautiful Purple Rain Iridescent Mirror Cardstock from Tonic Studios. This cardstock has such a beautiful colour shift as light hits it in different ways. It's just so pretty! I had a little issue with the diecut sentiment, which puckered during my first gluing. But I let it dry completely and then recut a second sentiment from the specialty cardstock and glued it over the first, which worked really well and didn't pucker that time. I think it had to do with the Magnolia die beneath having peeks and troughs in it, which effected that first layer as it dried. I diecut the shadow layer from vellum to give just a little separation between the background and word die that were cut from the same cardstock. I made a top folding card base with another lovely specialty cardstock that had a pretty sheen to it, in a soft neutral tone called Mist. This is quite a simple card if you ignore all the intricate gluing, but I felt it need a little something else when I was done. So I grabbed some seed beads and glued a few in a cluster over the centres of all the larger Magnolia's. I really love how that tiny detail elevated the whole card. I paired the card with a lovely Red Velvet Gina K envelope to finish.
