Very interested in purchasing this paper. Can someone tell me the weight of this paper. Thanks!   By: User (27-Aug-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hi. Normal cardstock is 110 lb weight. This extra thick cardstock is probably around 200 lb weight however I noted that the weight is not on the package or on the individual sheets. I am going by the feel of the paper. You could email American Crafts as they are now the supplier of Bazzil cardstock to find out for sure. I am new to scrapbooking, so I have a question. I want to use the Brazzill card stock in white for the background on all my pages. Do y'all recommend the double thick or the textured that comes in the value packs? The scrapbooks will be a collection of my children's growing up years from birth to high school, graduation if that is helpful, so the books will not be small. I want to use 12x12 sheets. Thank you!   By: User (23-Jul-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hi! I'm so glad you are looking for a way to tell the stories from your children's lives with scrapbooks!

I've used the double thick cardstock when doing pages with watercolor backgrounds. The smooth finish and thickness are very good if you're adding a lot of moisture with watercolor or any other mixed media. If you're looking for something that isn't so flat looking the textured is great and would work well if you're just adding pictures or paper with dry adhesives (like glue dots or a tape runner) and paper embellishments.

      Happy scrapping!!!

  • Can you use mix media on this paper? Oxide Inks, gesso, water colors?   By: scrapmomof4 (15-May-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • As this is quite thick it should hold up fairly well to some mixed medium. It would likely work better when gesso is used first. By: Scrapbook.com (28-May-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
