With the new white cutting mats I still need 2 of these right? My old cutting mats are so warped I had to get rid of them ..

Yes, These can be used for the Gemini, Gemini II, or Gemini Pro machines (all sold separately). Two cutting plates are needed. Often, one plate will be kept as the spacer plate while the other one is actually used for cutting to avoid having to replace both.

Hello. This plate, also known as a cutting mat, is designed to protect your metal dies and other materials when using the Gemini, Gemini II, or Gemini Pro machines (all sold separately). You will need to adjust your sandwich depending on what you are cutting. But this will replace the clear cutting plate and the basic sandwich should remain the same.

I'm interested in the answer myself as I just purchased a white plate to replace a broken clear plate. I usually mix my plates to find what works best with whatever die and paper I am using. 99% of the time my Magic Mat is in.the mix.

The clear plates have been discontinued by the manufacturer, so CC is offering the opaque white cutting plates which are more resilient and longer lasting. These plates can be used in the Gemini, and Gemini II machines. I believe the sandwhich is the same based on CC recommendations.

I am not sure what you are asking.....the Gemini II has a booklet with the correct plate sandwich depending on what you are cutting or embossing (with out the Magic Mat) which does use the 2 white plates.....using the Magic Mat I follow the guides that Scrapbook.com gives and will usually only use one white plate.
