    Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sanding Block

A little smaller than I thought, and I would've preferred something bigger to fit better in my hand. I'd also prefer some kind of cover over the sandpaper. But since it's small, it does fit nicely in my crop bag. Works great with the video Tim had on his blog--placing his masks under a white-core, patterned paper, then lightly sanding the paper. You're left with the image etched into your paper in white!

    Great sander

I just got this sanding block and I have to say that the design is brilliant. It holds a regular sheet of sanding paper but it uses a claming system to hold it in place and the block gives you control over the sanding paper in a way that you wouldn't get otherwise. This block is great for sanding paper like the core'dinations paper to get a nice distressed look.

    The Best Sander Ever!

As soon as I got this sander, I had to use it! I was amazed how easy it was to load the paper. It fit so nicely in my hand so I was able to control where I was going to sand and how much. I have used emory boards and sandpaper and this was sooo much better. Thank you Tim for this!!!

    Wonderful!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new little sanding block by Tim Holtz. I was hesitant at buying it, but so glad that I have; distressing chipboard and paper edges is so much easier now! A must have if you like to distress!

    really makes sanding easier

Just like the title says this really makes sanding easier! I love how the paper locks into the grips and the curve really helps me get a good grip on it. I love using this with the core dinations lines!

    I have mixed feelings

I am a hugeTim Holtz fan, so maybe I was expecting too much of this sanding block, but I am slightly disappointed. It is quite small and only comes with one piece of fine grit sandpaper. I had trouble getting the sandpaper attached tightly. I am not sure how much I will use this piece and think I might have been better off with another brand or perhaps just using a nail file or plain old sandpaper. It isn't a BAD product, but it isn't a necessary one either.

    Love it

This is the perfect size for paper crafting. I have a larger one that is for home use but is too bulky for what I need this for.

    Tim Holtz Sanding Block

This sanding block is wonderful, especially if one has arthritic hands/fingers. It is very easy to "load" the sandpaper and use.

    Not bad!

I do like this other than the smell... the rubber part just stinks! It works well though.

Questions & Answers
  • How do I replace the sand paper?   By: rdrdrbn (18-May-14) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • If you look at the end, you will see the slit for inserting the sandpaper. There is one on each end. You simply take hold of one end, separate at the slit, insert the sandpaper and release. Pull it as tight as you can and do the same on the other end. This is much easier to show than to describe in writing. I hope this helps. By: kitn (21-May-14) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
