This package of 10 sheets of Spring Butterfly Poly-Glaze foiling sheets is from Gina K Designs. These sheets are designed to add foil to your paper crafting projects with a regular household laminator (sold separately), just run this sheet through with your favorite foil for lots of sparkle and shine. These sheets are printed with a special Poly-Glaze coating that helps you use Deco-foils without having any black spots or dropouts. These sheets are compatible with ThermOWeb Deco=Foil and ThermOWeb carrier sheets as well as the Heidi Swapp and Anna Griffin Minc machines and supplies (all sold separately). These sheets are not compatible with Hot Foil Plate foils or systems (sold separately). These sheets measure 4.25" x 5.5".
These poly-glaze sheets make incredibly detailed butterflies! I have now made them using a variety of different GKD foils and each one turned out perfect. AND the negative turned out great as well. They have a well-defined border around the edge and I like that. It lets me choose either to keep it or I can trim it down. I foiled one of these in silver and used on a wedding card--looked beautiful.
I found this to be just as Gina showed on the live stream. I made a birthday card for my granddaughter using the Pink Candy Hearts Transfer Foils. It is beautiful and shinny. It does't fill the whole card so you can trim, which is what I did and put pink card stock behind the butterflies.
Perfect!
The description of these is deceiving, and the only photo provided is of the front of the package. There is a very large white border around the butterflies, like nearly a half inch, so for these to be described as 4.25 by 5.5 inches is deceptive. This large border also means that these very delicate and detailed butterflies are really small, so the foil effect gets lost in all the white space. I only gave 2 stars because foil does transfer to the poly glaze effectively even though you can't really see it.
