Hello, we watched the video and apologize for any confusion. It looks like these card bases give you the tools to make cards that "pop-up" in the sense of giving them a 3-dimensional look when they are not folded flat. The mechanisms do not cause the pieces placed in the center to pop out of the box. We hope this helps!
