These add that extra little something to so many projects. The clear is my favorite, adds just the right amount of shimmer. (Especially under a dim light.) There is a little bit of a learning curve to using them. It takes some priming to get them going. Sometimes, you will see a build up under the clear part, near the brush. I always have a test paper around to use, especially each time I prime it. ( It is not uncommon to get a few drops to ooze out after) Depending on the type of paper, it might darken the color a little bit. I have even used it on people’s hair in photos, it looks so pretty. My only suggestion is to try it on a test page so you know exactly what kind of effect it will have on that particular paper and color.
I've used the Wink of Stella brushes forever - but I finally gave a try on Scrapbook.com Glitter Brushes. Big mistake - they are nowhere near the quality of the Stella brushes. I had so much trouble working with them - so I'm definitely sticking to Wink Of Stella.
Ive bought Wink of Stella in different places and in different packages through this site. I love this stuff!! :o)

I’d give this zero stars if possible! I’ve used Wink of Stella for years . It’s a staple in my stash & used almost daily. I’ve ordered from different sites over the past year. I have ruined several cards. The Wink of Stella I’ve purchased from ALL sites leaves a milky color with very little to no sparkle. It dilutes your color. It looks like you actually spilled milk on your project & it dried. The formula has changed or someone is making counterfeit products. I wish I’d complained & returned this for credit. I have only done that once or twice in three decades. This stuff was that bad. As l said earlier, EVERY site I’ve purchased from sent me this stuff. It’s not just Scrapbook.com.
The package is marked as clear and the pens are marked 999 clear but they are not clear. I bought this same set on a different site and they are the same. None of them are clear. I have purchased 7 pens in the last 3 months and none of them are clear even though they are marked as clear. I think it is a problem at the manufacturer. They are a silver/pewter color.

Does the Wink of Stella II still look like a PLATINUM shimmer, or a White shimmer?

Hello. The Clear is most often described as having a platinum or silvery shimmer rather than a pure white one. While the ink itself is transparent, the glitter particles have a distinct cool-toned metallic cast that can appear silver or "platinum" when applied heavily.
