I already had the better press plate. When I saw that there was a stencil available, I went back and got it also. I like to color my stamps and press plates, but there are times when I need to get done quicker, and the stencil affords me to be able to do that. In between the stencil sheets, you can do more than one color on a flower or you can use more intensity with your ink if you want to do more realistic flowers. It is up to you and your preference. Either way, looks really pretty, and eye-catching, It makes a beautiful card, several steps up from the best store-bought card you can buy. Really worth the extra few dollars to make a dazzling card! Highly recommended.
