all lisa horton embossing folders emboss well. But a problem with the die combo ones is that the die does not cut flush to the embossed part. If you cut before and then emboss it leaves an edge. if you emboss and then cut it it leaves an edge and flattens the emboss effect.
I have the same issue with the butterflies set.
Too bad these could not do both at once like impresslits.
you will just have to trim with scissors not matter how you cut it. For the extra high price you pay to get the simple die with it, not sure it is worth it.
