Questions & Answers
  • Do you mix with water   By: cpitt1212 (31-Dec-23) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Embossing powders use a base glycerine usually based ink often clear. So you ink so to speak your stamp of choice words or design and then apply to your cardstock. Then you pour this powder or another embossing powder over the stamped design. Shake of any excess and apply heat from below or on top. Heat usually is in the form of a heat gun for craft use but could be something like a tiny pancake griddle which is my favorite way to do embossing if I'm doing a multiple run of same cards like for holidays. There are also pens filled with the special ink formula that you can write with or use as a pen to highlight specific areas. As the embossing poweder is heated it raises a bit and in this case turns shiny with some sparkle to it. There are all kinds of embossing powders some are matte, some glitter, some pearl, some metalics, some times even combinations and there are others too. This one is ideal for my pointsettia centers. You may want to avoid or test first any coated papers because a lot of coated paper has a plastic finish or vinyl and wouldn't hold up to the heat itself. Go on line for tutorials on using embossing powders for demonstrations to get the hang of it. By: LASinMT (28-May-26) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • No. You use a stamp with clear embossing ink, sprinkle on the cranberry embossing stuff and heat set it. By: Mikid (02-Jan-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
