This Solid Hot Foil Plate from Pinkfresh Studio will fast become a must-have tool if you are a foil fanatic. This plate foils the negative spaces of leftover foil from your other projects, resulting in much less foil waste. This hot foil plate measures 4.5" x 5.75" and accommodates hot foil plates that measure up to A2 size (4.25" x 5.5"). When using this plate, you may need to add an extra piece of cardstock for optimum results. You will love all the different techniques you can experiment with when using this plate.
Was hesitant to order because I use the Gemini system, but I took the leap. What a game changer, no need to rerun with multiple shims wasting foil. With a warmed up platform, I placed this plate on, set my timer at 10 sec. on low. After the beep, I put the negative foil on my cardstock & placed it on top of this plate, then ran it through Gemini for perfect "re-foiling". No wasted foil, cardstock, or time trying to get the shims right. I tried using my metal foiling shim with 2 extra card shims only to get underfoiling...this plate takes the guess work out for perfect results the first time!
Sooo happy I purchased the hot foil plate! I keep all my foil negatives and am now creating more beautiful backgrounds for my cards. Talk about getting double duty from my foil stamps!! If you use foil stamps then you need to purchase this solid plate!
I like the concept of getting maximum use of the foil but my results have been less than satisfactory. Maybe I need more practice or don’t have plate hot enough. I can’t recommend it as yet based on my results.
Perhaps someone can share what I may be doing wrong? Any tips appreciated. Thanks

Can this plate be used for the spellbinder glimmer machine?
Yes! I had no issues.. it worked great.
