Reinkers are an inexpensive way to extend the life of your Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Ink Pads. To use, simply shake the bottle, squeeze a few drops on the ink pad surface and work the ink evenly into the pad with the bottle nozzle. It’s that easy! Now your Scrapbook.com ink pad is rejuvenated and ready for more creative projects.
But don’t limit the reinker to just extending the life of your ink pad - it has many other creative uses as well! Here are some fun ideas of what else you can use them for:
What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink?
Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper. The ink is soaked up by the paper or cardstock so they tend to dry fast. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry. They tend to be brighter, with a denser saturation of color and work well with dark colors of cardstock. They are also great for heat embossing since they stay wet longer. Hybrid inks are the best of the two ink types (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both inks. They also tend to be more translucent in their appearance. Hybrid inks are suitable for all skill levels of crafters due to their compatibility with multiple mediums and surfaces.
What are color families?
The Scrapbook.com Hybrid Inks are designed in color families. Each color family has four individual colors numbered 1 through 4 (1 being the lightest shade in the group and 4 being the darkest shade of the group). Color families are an extremely important aspect of layered stamping because each of the four colors coordinates together to achieve a dimensional, layered look. Every Hybrid Ink Pad has the color family name and the color family number clearly labeled on the lid along with the name of the ink pad and the ink shade. NOTE: The 1 color for some color families is designed to be an incredibly light whisper of a shade for that group.

I love the fact that these stack so well, but not so much that the only way to open them is to break the seal with a knife or a fingernail (if you're lucky enough to have them). I'd love a redesign with the second iteration of these where the case was 'waisted' at the join, allowing the fingers to angle in from the outside to the join giving some purchase to break the seal and open the ink pad easily.
The ink pad and colors however are perfect and available in so many variations. This Holiday Group of colors are true Christmas colors perfect to decorate over, paint with, stamp even a fine design with, with crisp results. Hybrid Inks are the best of both worlds.

I have various new, and old, Holiday cardstock collections, and have found Christmas red can be blue/red hue, and have not been able to use it with a paper that has a more warm red combination, this one does so now can use with a special vintage style paper.

I have never tried Scrapbook.com's inks before. What led me to try them was the Holiday Group. I needed a true Christmas red and green, which these are. They have excellent coverage and dry beautifully. They work with embossing powders, too. These are so nice that I will try more colors.

Cart before the horse so to speak here. The Re-inker before the Pad but they pads were out that day. So I have mini - no inked pads that I can use to make my own ink pads out of and love those but I did want the full size pads that mate with these. But also wanted the ink colors here. SOOOO soon I'll have both. The pads are back in stock. I ordered...all is well with the world. This is a solid good red. Pine is a good deeper green and both work well across the seasons. Red come Valentines and Mother day and well it's a good rich but not bright red. The Pine I lean on pine trees, branches, plants and stems and leaves and pine needles and so PINE as a shade of color is wonderful. This is not an easy to find color of green. Everyone goes with spring and yellowed greens more than deeper much deeper than emerald greens and you are dark almost black green. This is spot on. Love it. These are not shiny and bright but you can add that touch over them if you want that. For me I'm in love with both shades. And both play well with other shades on the color chart in their field.
These ink colors are very pretty, rich colors and I needed re-inkers for my S.com Cardinal Red and Pine Green hybrid ink pads.
Je les aiment beaucoup quoique je n'ai pas encore essayé le rouge mais le vert travaille très bien
