Absolutely love these letter dies. They are large enough to make a statement on cards or scrapbook pages. They are great for 3 to 4-letter words on a card, such as EEK or XOXO.

Can you use these to cut felt or bonded quilting cotton?

Hello. No. These are designed for paper crafting. To cut dense materials like felt or stabilized fabrics like bonded quilting cotton, you should primarily use steel-rule dies or specialized deep-etch dies. Because felt is dense and bonded quilting cotton contains a stiff adhesive layer, standard wafer-thin paper crafting dies often struggle to cut through cleanly without warping or damaging the die.

I noticed that with this first set (A-K) that letters A, B, and D have vertical lines on them. No other letters do. I looked at the example and I cannot tell if the die will cut a single letter or two halves that have to be glued together.
Hello! Those vertical lines are to hold the center pieces in place; they are not cutting lines.
