This Happy Birthday Die is amazing. It cuts beautifully and the outline die lines up perfectly. I recommend using Stick It when cutting the outline which makes it so easy to line the 2 die cuts up. This is now my favorite die.
I love the style of this font and the ability to outline the Birthday text. It’s a great size for the front of an A2 or larger card. I’m not happy with the how long it takes to remove from the die and all the bits and pieces. I use a Gemini Jr die cutting machine and it’s always cut my most finicky dies that I had given up on using. The machine was game changer for me; love it! However, this is worse than weeding vinyl for t-shirts, which isn’t that bad. I just don’t have the patience when making a quick card. It’s also challenging when using mirrored cardstock as it’s so thin and difficult to glue over the larger letters. Using double sided adhesive was even a bigger mess. I cute some sentiments on a day that I have nothing to do so I can have on hand.
This die is not worth the trouble. The one cut is so thin and flimsy - good luck trying to attach that to the birthday sentiment. It doesn't matter if you use sticky backed adhesive when you cut it or use glue, trying to position it is a nightmare.
I'm happy with this purchase. This is an uncomplicated die that will get used repeatedly. It looks just as its represented. The different font gives it some fun. I think it can be used for any age or gender. Not a lot of waste after you cut it out, which is really nice. Not too big or small.
love, love, love this die, its delicate outline makes it unique and beautiful and a wow factor for its recipients.
I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE this Die. It is so different and looks beautiful on a birthday card.
Like the die. Saw it used by Natasha Foote. But I wish the package had been stamped “Fragile/ do not bend.” I have a box at the post office, and they do bend packages to make them fit. Luckily they missed bending the die.
First of all, I agree with a couple of the other reviews, that the top part of the die is so fine & flimsy that it really is rather difficult to get it lined up perfectly on the base die cut. I've tried it with paper-backed adhesive and with glue. Hard to get it cut all the way through with the paper-backed adhesive, and then difficult to get the die cut out of the die without tearing it. With glue, it is almost impossible to not end up with glue showing because the "birthday" is so very thin -- of course that's what makes it so cool, so what do you do? However, my biggest gripe with it is that the little area between the R and the T, that should be cut out, is not. I didn't notice that when I ordered it, but I sure did the other day when I made a card with it. Sure enough, the pictures online show that, but I didn't notice it until I'd made a couple of cards. I guess that denotes that it's not too big a deal, but now that I have noticed it, it really bugs me. It's like it's just not quite 'right'.
I'm always adding fun birthday dies to my collection. This one threw me at first, but once I played with it a bit, I was amazed at the pizzazz it adds to any birthday card. I can use it on cards for any adult or child.
