This item ran through my big shot with no difficulty. It's nice and compact, which is a nice feature for apartment dwellers like me. The enclosed magnet is heavy, so beware. I'm just waiting for additional press plates to be introduced.I'm also looking forward to getting a few additional paper packs.
I love my BetterPress! I am very happy with the result I got . I have tried using ranger distress ink with it and it still printed beautifully. The engraving was spectacular . When I printed my flower plate it came out so nice that it left me speechless. The black ink that came with my bundle is nice and very dark and the result is spectacular. I would recommend it to anyone who create cards. They will be impress. The price for the bundle is very reasonable.

I really enjoyed Simon's video of the use of the new letterpress. I was impressed with how sharp and clean the images came out and how foolproof it looks! The cardstock looks like such good quality as well. Very impressive. Will be anxious to try this new system. I do have the Glimmer so will have to compare functions.

This system has great results when using heavy saturated ink pads. It is fun to experiment with varying card stock. I know some crafters say you can do a second pass through your die cutting machine if the first pass is not bold enough, but my results was a blurred outline- double image.
Just be aware that results vary if you want to press an image twice.
I absolutely love my BetterPress. Simon Hurley does the walk through tutorial. He shows you how to water color the card , even gives you helpful tips. The card is so clean ,crisp, professional and beautiful. The results will leave you speechless. You could just ink on color card stock and it would be beautiful because the die cuts into the card stock. Its reasonably price, and takes no time to make.
Success from the start, the directions were easy to follow, the results amazing to see and touch. Can’t wait for more plates, a totally custom, elegant look with minimal effort. Excellent for mass production projects.
I am loving the BetterPress. It gives great results. So happy I bought it.
I was pleasantly pleased with the profession look of the image using the Betterpress. It was very easy to get these results with not much of a learning curve.
I definitely would recommend this product for beginner crafters as well as experienced ones!
As soon as my Betterpress arrived, I immediately compared Betterpress to "letterpressing" with a stencil. No comparison. Apple-oranges. The fine detail of Betterpress can not be achieved with a stencil. This is elegant, fun and achievable.

I just received this yesterday. I was pleased that there was a small ink, yellow tape and press plates to try out right away. I made one print and it is lovely.
Everything from my order was packed very well. I am quite impressed with Scrapbook.com shipping. This includes all my orders. Always packaged extremely well and shipping is faster that I expected. In this one purchase though ordering from Canada meant I had to pay duty. It wasn't much...
It has a really nice overall look and it is nicely compact. I love the grid lines and paper size marks. I like that it is magnetized too. Overall I really like it.
There was a learning curve... not too bad but the instructions could be better. You have to learn the names of the parts... Chase, Platen, Press Plates, Cotton Card Panels. Be careful of the Craft Tape, it lifted paper from the card panel leaving a mark. Take some of the stickiness off of it or use Mint tape if you have it.
I suggest that you put the press plates on scrap paper to ink them up. I accidently got a dab of ink on the grey magnetic "Chase" and it will NOT come off. I have the Ranger cleaner. Ink came off the press plate just fine though.
I will update this review after I have used it a while.
