This Scoreboards XL Die is designed by Eileen Hull for Sizzix and is going to help you create your own Travel Journals. This die features the cover of the travel journal and three other designs. This die is designed to cut chipboard and mat board with a thickness from 0.4" to 0.55", but also cuts paper and other thin materials. This die is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). This die measures 6" x 13.75" and the design measurements are 5.25" x 8.5" to 2.125" x 1.625".
Very elegant looking. I also like that you can make pages inside, that can be removed and replaced, especially if you use a thin elastic cord. I think I used a 3 mm cord. Make sure not to use too thick of a card board/chip board or the creased sections may cut instead of just creasing. I have used this to make two journals so far, with mixed media/water colour paper pages. It comes with a closure die cut too it looks like, but I went with the elastic cord closure. I may play with making this in leather, and using snap closures, or adding a pen/pencil loop too.
I love this die!! Probably my favorite of all my dies! I have made dozens of the journals. I cannot wait for Eileen Hull’s new dies that will compliment the journal.
what a great die to have - this is the same size as the Jane Davenport journal jacket - so awesome! highly recommended!!
I like this die and it does what it says, but after purchasing it I find that I don't use is as much as I thought I would and that I tend to make a smaller size without a die at all.
Love this die! The edges cut clean every time! So quick, easy and fun to make the journal books!
This Die is awesome for DIY travelers botbokk, it cuts through matboard easily!
I purchased this, and love everything. I suggest watching a video first for helpful hints. This cuts through thick cardboard, so if you are not careful, any single paper sheets may cut along the scoreline. Really easy though, and I plan to make many journals using this.
