This item is a wax rub on that leaves a non-sparkly, purple-hued, iridescent shine. It will not cover your paper with a evenly thick layer but it's uneven in finish thus causing dimension. No streaks but smooth finish. You absolutely can see pattern paper and ink under it until you tip, or move the paper in the light. Then, you'll see a metallic-ish light lavender. It looks wonderful on flower petals. It hides a ton of mistakes. It smells like orange oil. It won't warp or react negatively with thin paper. Great product and a little goes a long way.
This luster wax was a freebie with an order placed. I had no idea how to use but I like incentives or free items. When it arrived it appeared to at one time have melted and solidified again with visible lumps. No worries....it was smooth to the touch and applied as it should have and on top of that it smells really, really nice! (The fragrance does dissipate after applied.) I am definitely looking forward to obtaining the metallic colors luster wax options soon.
Tried this on a 3D stamped image and it just makes it more beautiful! Love every product I have ever bought from Scrapbook.com. I have never been disappointed in anything I purchase.
