Sizzix - Tim Holtz - Christmas - Thinlits Dies - Vintage Sled

This 12 piece Thinlits Die set, Vintage Sled, is designed by Tim Holtz and is part of the Christmas Collection for Sizzix. This die set features a layered vintage sled as well as pieces to make a festive decoration for the sled. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These dies can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals, and other paper crafting projects. These dies range in size from 2.5" x 4.375" to 0.125" x 0.875".

  vintage sled

  It's a great looking sled when finished but definitely labor intensive. So.Many.Little (some tiny) parts. You definitely must be careful not to lose any pieces when cutting them out and be organized with your colors and your cutting. I was glad to have the color picture on the package which I followed closely to put it together. Instead of trying to add the teeny black cutout dots I just used a black marker. Much easier.

  Love!

  I had a sled like this when I was little. (I was born and raised in NJ, a looonggg time ago, now... I'm now, "vintage..." ;D) The dies are well-made and sturdy, yet the pieces are slender in places. I love this detailed die set and love the sled.

  Tim Holtz Christmas Sled

  I love the look of this great sled, however it does not cut well. It takes multiple runs through my machine for some of the dies to successfully complete a clean cut. And I knew there would be many pieces, but there are so many teeny tiny ones. Great looking sled, but I would not buy this again.
