It looks like a lovely town. I see a mix of old and new architecture, well-cared for facades, pretty light poles and wide streets. But where is the holiday decor?
I just love brick buildings. In the land of Stucco, brick is treasure! Does this mean you are bi-lingual? :) I don't know any French... except... We? Wi? Wii????? :) :) :)
lovely city, this is so interesting to me, my dh was born in Quebec, he came to U.S. when he was 2 so he has no memories of it, but it still interests me. I know this is a different part of Canada, but Canada as a whole interests me.
I love the French language! I learned the "Paris" sort at school - though I've lost much. My DH's family is from Canada & he learned a lot from his Dad, but we always argue about pronunciation - it's such a difference! Love the brick buildings!
Thanks for this bit of history. My DH is Canadian (Nova Scotia) but grew up here in the US after age 9 yrs old. We both enjoy learning about his homeland. Esp since he still have 3 Uncles and large family still up there. Lovely photo of this city. Nothing like a wet road to bring out a street scene.
Main Street, Moncton NB. I live in a city called Dieppe, but I work here in Moncton. Dieppe is where most of the French Speaking people (such as myself) living in the Greater Moncton Area live. Most of the English speaking people live in Riverview and Moncton. We all work in Moncton though, and we get along pretty well. :o)
