I LOVE this! Love the soft colors, the bird and the flowers and stems. EVERYTHING! BTW, how do you get your deco scissors to do such a good job? I can't ever get it to come out looking so good!
Cute picture! I like the pastel colors. I have tons of pastels but never thought to turn a few photos into black and whites to use with them. Thanks for the inspiration!
did I miss this??? I don't believe I missed thisi!!! (I am sooo behind on comments!) THIS is gorgeous! I love the colors and the fence and the priceless pic!!! And your flowers are perfect!!! I LOVE THIS!!!! in my favs........sos I can lift it!! lol!!!
Oh how gorgeous! I saw this featured and just had to see it -- I love these colors, and love how you made the circle from the album cover! The fence and bird and flowers coupled with the beautiful dragonfly paper --- oh my goodness just so beautiful!! LOVE the colors.
I like that you placed the picket fence below the median line. Just a little higher and it would have bisected the layout. The value in having it placed just the way you have, is that you give more real estate and therefore more importance to the picture of your DGD! Besides the great technical aspect of this layout - it is simply gorgeous and oh so elegant. I love the colors!
This is simply gorgeous..those beautiful soft colours are just perfect for that photo and I adore those tiny little rosebuds and those big roses and the design is perfect too!! I love everything here!!
omg! i dont know what to say!..i adore this one! i thought i had made a comment on this but i guess i didnt and just saw it here...this is what perfect lo looks like! love your flowers! i must find out how you did them!
Gorgeous!! Gorgeous!! Love the flowers, fence. The circle is very pretty with the little glimmer in it.You always do an amazing layout. I love your gallery!!tfs.
Stunning page, just love the soft colour of it, and the fence and bird are adorable as are you hand made flowers, just love it all. I have my g-grandfathers scrapbook, over 100 yrs old, he put all sorts of things in it and I'd say none were acid free, they are still in perfect condition even the pressed flowers, I would worry about the wrap I think it is a great effect.
I love this one too!! I hope the foam wrapping doesn't do anything. I added a CD to one of my pages about 4 years ago... and used vellum on the page.. and using the RIGHT VELLUM glue.. which the scrapshop told me to use.. it worked wonderful... UNTIL 4 years later.. EVER peace of vellum tape/glue turned yellow and now I have Yellow strips running throughout the page. I can only come up with the Gasses from the CD did something to the Vellum glue and turned it yellow. The page was AWSOME... but now it looks terrible. of course I didn't hide the clue under everything, cause I didn't that THAT much on the page... Anyway, went back to the scrap store and asked them.. ooh did you use the right glue was there first question.. Anyway, just never know whats gonna happen, you wouldn't think the foamy circle would do anything.. and I hope it doesn't. Still look need though!! Great job.. I like the little fence the best. So cute.
What a character, and so adorable!!! this is just amazing!!! Everything blends so beautifully!!! your flowers look beautiful!! Was that paper shaped that way? The circle looks awesome. Cardboard isn't acid free either and there's alot of that going around. i think since the invention of the digital camera it's not that important. You can always copy another picture. KWIM?? before people were scrapping their only pics of their long gone family and stuff. Things are alot different now.
Gorgeous!!! Thanks for the info on he flower from swirlydoos, I had been looking for a way to make a red rose for a lo, and yay lol I made it . I think it came out ok. Cant wait to use it. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Thanks for the heads-up on the flowers, Ive got to try them, they are so extra-
ordinary. You did a great job lining up the border with the deco sizzors. Mine are never that perfect. Great idea with the 'plastic' too!
Another pic of my DGD, the free spirit, at the park. Along with the cap that is too small, she completes the outfit with that dancers wrist warmer! LOL! I should have put an owl on the fence because this child is such a hoot!
Don't laugh, but I used the protective wrap that my album was shipped in to cut the circle for this layout. IRL you can see right through it with just a bit of shimmer that is so cool. It's not acid free I suppose, but it does look cool! I cut the stems and bird on a branch with my silhouette out of white cardstock and then inked them before removing them from the outer page. Now that the Viking Queen is back, I need to explain myself or get a lecture! LOL. JK Trudy! So delighted to have you back keeping me on my toes! The fence and title were also cut on my silhouette. I used deco scissors for the border and made the big flowers using the tutorial at swirlydoos. Still no stapler, so I tried gluing them at 2:00 in the morning with not so great results.
Thank you my sweet friend Luzma, for this lovely bday gift.
