Wow, sounds like your Grandmother was quite an extraordinary woman. What a lovely tribute!! The red checked/gingham background sets the whole vintage/homespun tone for this WONDERFUL creation. Love it all!!!
Beautiful lo!! Love the gingham pp, punch work and the lovely flowers and fence! The window frame with the photo is excellent! Superb story..amazing that someone with a weak heart could bear and rear 10 children!!
Something about grandmothers that just warm a body's heart. Love the LO and all the different details throughout that make this page so "homey". The top red and white checked paper, the fence, and that lovely window frame are truly gorgeous. Great job!!!
Beautifully composed!! Love the white punched strip against the red and white check, the fence and window frame, and all the various lovely detail!!! I loved reading the amazing story....wow, ten children and a weak heart!!! Imagine that! A fabulous heritage layout!
This is the second page of two pages I'm working on of my grandmother. The first page will have part 1 of her story and it will read: "Mary is my maternal grandmother. As a teenager, she had scarlet fever and spent two years in bed, which left her with a weak heart. However, when pregnant, she felt better and whether it was because of this, or the love she had for children, I don't know, but she ended up being the mother of ten!" This is for the Heritage Challenge with the twist "red, white and blue". Thank you for looking and for your sweet comments!
