For last month's VLB April Fool challenge to have something funny on a LO. Journaling says: Getting a Christmas tree was quite a fiasco this year. With the truck gone, we decided to use points to get a free rental SUV to do the job. Of course, we had none of our usual supplies in it, so we had to rely on the guys at the tree lot to tie the one we picked to the roof. Big mistake. Less than half way home, it came off the truck in the middle of Hainesville Road. Thank God, it didn't cause an accident. Cassie was screaming, "My tree! My tree!" and crying the whole time; I stepped out of the truck into ankle deep mud; and we looked like total idiots dragging it down the street. Luckily, a Good Samaritan stopped to help us, and she gave us the tie down straps she had in her car. Surprisingly, the tree fared pretty well. We just turned the side with broken branches to the back. Cassie helped Bob put on the lights, and then she and I decorated it the next day. In this last photo, I had crawled under the tree to water it, and Abby immediately ran over with a bone and lay down between my legs.
