I'm going to start my description off with the fact that I got this idea from Shimelle Laine. She created Document 2010 back in 2010 and I really liked the idea, so I'm doing it this year. I could never keep up with Project Life so I'm doing this instead. http://www.shimelle.com/document2010/702/documenting-march-2010/ [shimelle.com] This is Shimelle's blog post explaining Document 2010.As you can see, I'm way behind.I used three different papers to make a patchwork pattern as my background. I used a striped stamp on the gray squares and I inked the edges on all of the squares. I also deconstructed a Christmas card envelope for my envelope pattern. I used my Cricut for the library card pocket. I'm a little disappointed with my heat embossing on the library card pocket. I had to do it twice as it is, and I'm not doing it again. I used DIY Thickers and Martha Stewart glitter for my title. I'm also a little disappointed with my 2012 tag, but hopefully it won't look bad to people who are flipping through my album. I painted a piece of chipboard with gray paint and used Perfect Pearls for the number 2012. The Perfect Pearls doesn't want to stick to the paint. Lesson learned. But in general, I'm happy with the page.I love my rosette and this was my first project using washi tape!! I'm kind of addicted now. Ooh, I'm also super proud about my little flower on top of the rosette. I didn't have a red flower so I made my own. I took some Fired Brick ink and rubbed it on my craft sheet, spritzed a little water on it and dipped a white flower into it. I let it get saturated and then I dried it with my heat gun. I want to do this all of the time now.
